After a lengthy hiatus from writing I am setting up a new personal website and blog today. Fingers crossed!
I had a false start in summer 2023 setting up a blog/newsletter over at SubStack. I didn’t get very far. More recently, controversy about SubStack’s willingess to host some truly awful content publishers has turned me off. So I am back where I began years ago: running my own blog, steadily bashing ones and zeroes into stone tablets with rocks.
I’m a nerd. I like to make things, mostly with software. I’m fascinated by products, and businesses, and software startups in particular. So I’m planning to return to my old stomping grounds and write mostly about those topics.

- CloudFlare for DNS and hosting
- Namecheap for the domain
- Editing posts in VS Code, or maybe Obsidian since it’s just markdown
- Tracking all the mistakes in ecxcruciating detail with git and Github
